Welcome to my personal website!

I am a Professor of Mathematics at Heriot-Watt University, in Edinburgh, the beautiful capital of Scotland.

My work spans from the analysis to the numerical simulations of PDEs, linear and nonlinear, arising as models of physical phenomena. They include:

Boundary Values Problems

  •  The Unified Transform method for linear PDEs

Spectral Theory

  • Spectral analysis of linear differential operators

  • Revivals, and the Talbot effect for dispersive linear PDEs

Geophysical fluid dynamics

  • The semi-geostrophic system
